The article of the Congress and Member of Lok Saby Shashi Tharoor in Malayalam, in which Mr. Tharoor criticized the emergency situation of 1975, on Thursday (July 10, 2025) launched the war of words and leaders of BJP.
Without the name Mr. Tharoor, a member of Lok Sabha of Tamil Nadu manickam Tagore, when a colleague repeats the line used by BJP, the bird becomes a parrot.
BJP, who hit back, said that while the leader of the congress took 50 years to realize the emergencies, some leaders still show the same “thinking”.
In the case of an emergency, however, Congress did not offer any formal response to a piece of Mr. Tharoor.
The controversy began after Mr. Tharoor wrote a piece in Malayalm Daily in Deepice, in which he described the emergency situation as a “dark chapter” and noted that people of the country clearly responded to the excesses of this period by voting Indira Gandhi of power.
“When a colleague begins to repeat the word BJP Lines Word for Word, you start to be surprised – is the bird to become a parrot? Mimicry is cute in birds, not in politics.” Mr. Tagore said in the post. Although his name was a colleague, the reference to Mr. Tharoor was lost, because the bird’s analogy was used by the deputy Thiruvananthapuram himself to respond to the chief of the Malikarjun Kharge congress.
25th June, when the reporters pointed out that Mr. Tharoor praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s treatment of a terrorist attack and surgery and surgery in foreign policy, Mr. Kharge said his party believes in the “first” mantra, but for some it is “Modi”.

The answer to the criticism of Mr. Tharoor from his colleagues from his own parties, BJP and Sudhansh spokesman TRIVEDI said that if the congress opposed his notes against the emergency situation, it was clear that the party considered the mentality of the right and today supported it with complete “shameless”.
“Why was the emergency situation stored? Because the Indira Gandhi elections were canceled. Congress said that the recognition of constitutional institutions would be decided on the basis of their election victory and defeat. And now you have seen a demonstration held in Bihar, their mentality has not changed in 50 years.”
