The army encouraged training 10 young men from the Bishhnupur district in the manipure within the Agniveer system.
“These individuals recently completed basic military training as proud agniveers. At the event they participated in Agniveers with their families and military officers who met to celebrate this important milestone,” the Ministry of Defense said, adding that they would soon join the armed forces.
“These young candidates who came from various communities previously approached the army battalion and demanded assistance. The army recognized their potential and provided preparatory training and mentoring in various places throughout the area to help them appear at different stages of recruitment rallies,” the ministry said.
“With permanent support and youth management, it successfully cleaned all phases of the recruitment process in 2024, including a regular entry test, physical and medical examinations,” he said, adding that Agniveers would now be put into their relevant weapons, regiments and units.
“This initiative emphasizes the unwavering commitment of the army to raise local talent, seize youth and contribute to peace and development. The success of these agniveers stands as a lighthouse of hope and encourages more young individuals in manipuru to take meaningful roles in the nation,” the Ministry of Defense said.
