The CHENNAI NORTH DISTRICT Consumer Commission ordered ACTC to pay 50,000 GBP as a replacement for the wrong management of Marakkum’s concert Nenjam Ar Rahmana in the capital in September 2023.

However, ACTC events claimed that unfavorable weather conditions and unprecedented precipitation caused damage to space and equipment. Taking into account the weather reports, it canceled the event. The cancellation of the concert was further communicated to all ticket buyers and the information was published on the social media, the company said.
In his order, the chairman of the Commission D. Gopinath and the members of Kavitha Kannan and V. Ramamurtha stated that the event was organized on a large scale by providing broad publicity, the obligation to administrate or inform the participants to avoid unnecessary suffering and suffering. “So we believe that in the company management society there is a clear negligence for canceling the planned event on August 12, which quoted weather conditions at the last minute, causing monetary loss, serious mental hardship and suffering for people …”
The Commission ordered ACTC events to pay 50,000 GBP as a compensation for the complainant for the wrong management and mental agony and another 5,000 GBP for the cost of litigation within two months. A complaint against Big Tree Entertainment and Mr. Rahman was released because the forum did not find merit in a complaint against them because they are formal parties.
