The annual holiday of St. Mary in the Syrian Cathedral of St. Mary’s Jacobite in Manarcaud will begin on September 1.
According to the preparations of the Church Managing Committee, they were completed for the eight -day annual festival. The festival will start lifting the festive flag on Monday. The lender will start on Sunday evening with a prayer service and then the lamp will be lit on the stone cross.
Holy Eucharist will be celebrated in the second church in Karotte Church, at 6 am from 1 to 8 September. In the main cathedral at 7.30 in the morning there will be morning prayers, holy Eucharist will be celebrated at 8pm and evening prayers will take place from 1 to 8 September.
Minister of HV Vasavan will open 4 September public meetings. The religious procession will be taken to the shrine of Kurisupalli 6. September. Thousands of people, charged as one of the largest spiritual processions in Asia, are expected to participate in the procession.
7 September will reveal the holy picture of St. Mary with Jesus Christ in the sanctuary (Nada Thurakkal). The picture will be displayed for public viewing within 14 September. The holiday will be closed on 8 September.
