On Tuesday, the state government announced the appointment of chairmen for 31 nominated jobs across various social corporations, councils and academy. The assignment covers a wide range of community bodies, cultural and language academies, offices for the development of cities and financial institutions for cooperatives.
Of the total contributions, six were assigned to OC, 17 candidates, 17 on SCS, one on STS and two minorities.
Within the ruling alliance, Telugu Desam (TDP) provided a lion’s share with 25 contributions, while the party of Jan Sen (JSP) was assigned three and BJP two. One post was given by Bahajan Jac.
Andhra Pradesh SC Cooperative Finance Corporation, Brahmam Chowdary for AP Kamma Corporation, Buchi RAM Prasad Srinivasulu (BJP) for Hindu Dharmakshana Trust, and Guntasal Venkata Lakshmi (JSP) for AP Vaddera Corporation.
TDP leaders said that appointment is aimed at strengthening the social security initiatives and ensuring a fair representation of the community throughout the state.
