The sixth All India Mahila Sanskritik Sangathan (AIMSS) state women’s conference will begin in Thiruvananthapuram on Friday.
Nivedita Menon, Retired Professor, Jawaharlal Nehru University, AIMSS State President S. Soubhagyakumari will inaugurate the public meeting at Gandhi Park at 4 p.m. AIMSS National Vice President Shyla K. John will deliver the keynote address. AIMSS National President Keya Dey will open the delgates conference at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the Public Library Auditorium.
Three seminars will take place on Saturday. Topics range from workplace exploitation; women’s security and power structures; and science for women’s empowerment. The conference will end on Sunday.
