
ICSSR National Fellow and Distinguished Professor on Social Development, New Delhi, Jandhyal BG Tilak said that the main objective of national education policy (NEP) is to provide quality education to all parts of society and building a knowledge society.
He lectures a special lecture on the “origin of national educational policy” within the eight -day online repeating program “Perspectives and Sensitivity of New National Educational Policy” organized by training of teachers in Malaviya on Tuesday on Tuesday. Tilak said that the aim of the NEP is to provide universal education and previous education and previous education.
Tilak also emphasized the need for democratization and decentralization of the educational system.
Prof. Tilak, who developed the development of educational policies from 1944 to 2020, said the National Knowledge Commission played a key role in the reform of higher education.
“The 1986 policy emphasized education in the sector, while in 2009 the Law on Education Right was introduced, which recognized education as the fundamental law for all,” he said.
He said that although the field of education has seen considerable progress and is closely associated with social and economic development, a large number of students will still end education at primary, university and university levels.
Tilak said there was a lack of emphasis on technical and professional courses, while regional differences in access to education persist. This school education also faces several challenges that require urgent solutions.
Prof. Tilak stressed that declining quality in education is a matter of serious concern and emphasized the need for integration and complexity in higher education. Faculty and scientists, including BH Nagoor, Bharati Ganiger, Shilpa Ramanagol and others, participated in the session.
