At the beginning of this year, the police reported the first information report (companies) against 25 celebrities and influencers, including popular persons like Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj, Vijay Deverakond and Manchu Lakshmi, for alleged promotion of illegal betting and gambling, as he says.
What did the company say?
The company was filed at the Miyapur police station in Hyderabad after a petition of 32 -year -old entrepreneur Phanindra Sarma.

Sarma claims that during a youth interview in its community on March 16, he found that many individuals were influenced by the investment of their money in these gambling applications that were strongly advertised by social media personalities.
According to the complaint, these celebrities reportedly accept large amounts of money to promote various betting platforms that encourage users to gamble their hard -earned money.
Sarma himself was on the verge of investing in one of these platforms, but changed after his family warned him of potential financial dangers.
The police report reports several celebrities and influencers who are accused of promoting illegal gambling applications, including Ran Daggubati, Prakash Raj Agarwal, Ananya Nagell, Siri Hanumanthu, Sreemukhi, Varshini soundajan and many others.
The petition emphasizes that these applications and platforms cause widespread financial damage, especially between lower and middle -class families, which are lured into a false promise of easy money.
Applications often rely on celebrities to build credibility, leading vulnerable individuals to invest a significant amount of money to face financial ruins.
The TELANGANA Police accused the accused under several sections of the TS Act and the IT law, including Section 66 (a). D) of the Act on Information Technology, which deals with cheating and theft of identity.
The company also includes sections dealing with the promotion of illegal betting activities, while the investigation is now being solved by G Ramesh Naida.
