The Bhagwan Mahavir Committee Janma Kalyanak Mahotsav organized a procession. It started from Tilak Chowk and the Sheri Galli, Math Galli, Kapileshwar Bridge, SPM Road, Shahapur Kore Galli and Govaves, closed near Mahavir Bhavan, passed. In Mahavir Bhavan was organized a mass lunch.
The Vice -Chairman of the Central University of Keral Sidda Alagur started the parade.
“There are wars in several countries around the world. However, a honest attempt to monitor the ideals of Lord Mahavir’s ideals can bring permanent world peace. But to win peace around the world, we must accept the principle of non -violent Mahavir,” he said.
Alagur stressed that in today’s stressed lifestyle, the learning and philosophy of Lord Mahavir is very relevant and it was the duty of everyone to follow them.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Roshan noted that the Jain Community is one of the most love -loving communities in the world. He noted that Jainism is a religion of tolerance, non -violent and good will to everyone without hurting anyone.
Mahesh Singhvi, a award -winning teacher from Hubball, said that although the Jain community is currently a religious minority. Unity in the community is growing. Referring to the recent celebration of the World Incentive Day organized by the Jito Foundation Foundation that all parts of the Jain community met in unity. This solidarity must continue in social and political spheres, he said.
Ajay Jain, head of Indian railway officer, appreciated how all parts of the Jain community in Belagavi join to celebrate the anniversary of the birth of Lord Mahavir.
He said the way the festival is celebrated in Belagavi is a model of the whole nation and should continue the same spirit.
Mayor Mangesh Pawar expressed happiness that Mahavira Janma Kalyanak in Belagavi is a joyful opportunity.
He called on everyone to adhere to the principles of peace and non -violent. During the event, a special edition of Halliy Sandesha dedicated to Bhagwan Mahavir Janma Kalyanak was released.

The District Administration organized a celebration in Kumar Gandharva Hall. Mayor Mangesh Pawar started this event. He spoke of Lord Mahavir’s philosophy.
