The third cohort of the AIC T-Hub SpaceTech Orbit accelerator program has launched, comprising 13 startups seeking to sustain businesses through various initiatives.
The selected startups are engaged in building critical technologies across propulsion systems, orbital services, sovereign computing, satellite intelligence, space energy systems, satellite connectivity and related geospatial technologies. They will gain access to leading experts, investors, former ISRO leaders and veterans from the Indian space sector through dedicated masterclasses, mentoring sessions and industry engagements, T-Hub said in a release.
Sanyark Space Technologies, Trishul Space, Kessler Dynamics, Velotrax, Zoove Space, Space OS, Humanity Space, Landlens, STAR Labs, Red Balloon Aerospace, Astro Voltaics, Orbit Grid and Nibiaa Devices are the 13 startups.
“The pace and intensity with which young startups are building technology and capabilities in the Indian space sector is truly encouraging. Platforms like ORBIT are playing a key role in supporting founders and strengthening India’s SpaceTech capabilities for the future,” said former ISRO Chairman AS Kiran Kumar.
The launch of the latest cohort comes against the backdrop of India’s SpaceTech sector witnessing strong momentum, driven by growing private participation, increasing investor interest and increasing global attention. Hyderabad has emerged as an important hub for the sector and is home to a growing number of startups that are building across the space value chain, T-Hub said.
With cohort 3, ORBIT has now supported 36 SpaceTech startups, while T-Hub’s wider SpaceTech initiatives have engaged over 100 startups building across the space sector. Previous ORBIT cohorts have collectively enabled funding of approximately ₹ 30 crore and contributed to 18 published IPs.
“India’s SpaceTech ecosystem is entering an exciting phase where founders are building ambitious companies and solving complex challenges across the space value chain. Through ORBIT, we aim to provide start-ups with access to the expertise, networks and opportunities they need to grow and contribute to India’s expanding space economy,” said Kavikrut, CEO of T-Hub.
