With hundreds of Ganesh Mandals, they spread over Twin cities and installed idols of various forms and sizes in specially built adapted pandals, and started Ganesha Chaturthi on Wednesday on Wednesday.
While the festivities last 11 days in Hubball, the celebrations close the ninth day in Dharwad. A number of programs and cultural events take place as part of the celebrations.
As you could usually see, Mandals members arrived at Pandals in the afternoon after installation of idols in their homes first. On Wednesday afternoon, Twin Cities witnessed a number of parades that came from the idol-creature workshop and closed themselves on pandals.
Only those pandals hide the giant idols of the elephant god like the one in Maratha Galli in Hubball, did not choose a parade. Hubballi Ka Raja, another giant idol that reached Hubballi from Bengalur, was knocked out in the parade before the installation after midnight. Both idols have a height of over 20 feet.
Since mandations can use DJ audio systems by 22:00, most vehicles carrying idols have mounted music systems, while some invited folk groups to make the processions color and live.
Revelers danced on the content of their heart until the processions were dug by installing idols.
Idgah Maidan
Meanwhile, in the middle of many fanfares, an idol adjacent to Kittur Chennamma Circle in Hubball was installed on IDGAH Maidan.
Practice began in 2022 after Hubbali Dharwad Municipal Corporation allowed the installation of idols and the High Court confirmed the body of the company to allow it.
Minister of Pralhad Joshi, BJP Jagadish Shettar, lawmakers Malesh Tenginakai and others visited Pandal later during the day.
Attraction
Thousands from the whole district and neighboring districts visit Pandals in two cities during the 11 -day festivities. The organizers invest more to build unique types of pandals to attract the crowd. Parodies based on mythology are also playing.
Because these pandas see a huge rush, late, Mandals began to serve different dishes as Prazadam devotees who walk around the city from one pandal to another.
Meanwhile, the police conducted sophisticated security measures, diverted traffic on certain roads, and sent police staff near the pandals to control the crowd and maintain vigil over anti -social elements.
