“We don’t find the solutions to our digital challenges at Google, but we create them together with Google and all stakeholders. At the Artificial Intelligence Summit in Delhi, Sundar Pichai and I discussed the priorities of the French G7 presidency. And I shared one message: Choose France!”

In his post, Sundar Pichai said he welcomed the exchange and highlighted France’s growing influence in the global technology landscape.

Macron also met Alexander Wang, head of AI at Meta, and described their interaction as productive and forward-looking.

“Constructive discussion with Meta’s Alexander Wang at AI Summit in Delhi. We discussed what France has to offer: talent, research and data centers. In two words: Choose France!” he said.

The French president added that the talks also covered online safety for young users, including stricter standards for age-based access on social media platforms.

“We have also reviewed measures to protect young people on social media, in particular the proposal I support to ban access for people under the age of 15. The good news: Meta is committed to moving forward with us,” he added.

Earlier, speaking on Indo-French relations, Macron said that bilateral relations are at an all-time high, with both countries looking to expand cooperation across technology, innovation and strategic sectors.

“And in terms of the bilateral relationship, I really believe it’s at its highest point, and we want to do a lot more again because it’s based on our relationship,” he said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also held talks with President Macron in Delhi on Thursday on the sidelines of the summit.
