Thailand Open 2026 Finals Highlights: Satwik-Chirag suffer straight-sets defeat

Marthin’s journey to Thailand Open 2026 has been inspiring. He and Carnando parted ways in mid-2024 before Marthin suffered a left knee cartilage injury at the BWF Sudirman Cup final last May.

His layoff ended this week at the Thailand Open and he and Carnando are yet to play a match en route to the final.

“I’m definitely excited to be in the final with Daniel again,” Carnando told BWF after Saturday’s win. “My credit and respect to him for going straight to the final in his first tournament in a year. That’s really impressive.”

“The key to our victory today was to play more focused, not let our guard down and constantly predict the opponent’s game patterns,” said Marthin. “We tried to play the game we set out to play.
