Before the upcoming local elections in the local authority, the head of Shiv Sena (UBT) Uddhav Thackeray and Mahashtra Navnirman hay (MNS) Raj Thackey met on Wednesday and triggered a discussion of a possible alliance and political strategies.
The meeting, which lasted almost two and a half hours, watched a number of polite meetings in the last four months. Mr. Uddhav Thackeray, MP Sanjay Raut and MLC Anil Parab, met Mr. Raj Thackery in his residence, Shivtirth, Mumbai’s Dadar. The leaders of MNS Bala Nandgaonkar and Sandeep Deshpande were also present for interviews with closed doors.
According to MNS officials, the “political” meeting with discussions on seat sharing for 227 election departments of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, the richest civic body of the country. Sushma Andhare’s leader (UBT) said, “When things are introduced, they will be announced at the right time because they are part of the strategies.
This was the first meeting that took place in the presence of the main leaders from both sides and without any festive or family occasion.
In the last four months, cousins have met several times and suggest potential meetings. After two decades, they shared a phase to oppose the “Hinda storage”. Since then, they have met several times, including Mr. Uddhav Thackeryy’s residence, when Mr. Raj Thackey extended his birthday wishes for his 65th birthday. Recently, Mr. Uddhav Thackery’s family, including his son and Worli Mla Aaditya Thackery, visited Shivtirth for Ganesh Darshan and underlines the growing proximity between the two families.
Talks about the alliance among Cousiny Thackey also created waves in Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), from which the SHIV Sena (UBT) component is. Congress leaders, including Vijay Wadettiwar, discussed this matter with Mr. Uddhav Thackeryy on September 8, then Mr. Wadettiwar said that this problem would be referred to the party command.
The leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) Supriya Sule emphasized the emphasis on the ideology of MVA. “We are ready for a coalition with parties that have the same thought process as ours. However, nothing has been proposed yet. Let the proposal come and discuss,” she said.
Meanwhile, the BJP leaders rejected a possible alliance and stated that it would not change “no difference” and had no impact on the Mahayuti in the elections.
