
When moving to strengthening urban monsoon readiness and integration of meteorological intelligence into the city ecosystem of emergency proceedings, a coordination meeting in the Telangana Integrated Command and Control Center (TGICCC) took place on Thursday.
The meeting was chaired by the director of TGICCC and former IPS Officer VB Kamalasan Reddy and linked the key stakeholders, including officials from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).
The focus of the meeting was to integrate meteorological intelligence into the ecosystem of the city’s emergency procedure. Discussions have been conducted on IMD data synchronization with systems that have already been introduced in TGICCC, such as the integrated operating system (ITM), automatic numeric boards (ANPR), addressing systems for public and variable messages.
The head of the IMD Hyderabad Center K. Nagaratn and its team presented a depth overview of the forecast systems of the department. It describes various prognosis models, from nowcasts to long -range predictions and pushed the use of top tools such as Doppler’s radar weather display, satellite data, numerical weather models and special GIS -based display.
A technical overview of supervision infrastructure, especially the types and specifications of the used cameras, was also performed to ensure full operational efficiency during heavy rains.
The panel has revised precipitation formulas over the past 10 years and has been investigating trends associated with extreme precipitation and temperature fluctuations, including cold and thermal waves. The need for timely distribution of warnings through multiple channels, especially Sachet mobile applications, was strongly emphasized to inform both officials and the public.
The meeting ended with a challenge for a multiprocessing reaction plan supported by robust meteorological data that are decisive for navigation in the challenges of the Monsolabad Monsorabad.
