The Council for Higher Education in Telangana integrates 10 new subjects into the curriculum of university rights to modernize legal education in the state.
The review of the curriculum is in accordance with “rapidly developing global legal environment, growing influence of law and society technology, national priorities and developing regulatory framework of India (BCI),” he said on Saturday.
New subjects are: cyber laws and cyber security, emerging technologies and law, transport right, safety and strategic study, media and technological law, justice law for juveniles and POCOs, consumers’ protection Act, international trade law, bankruptcy Act and insolvency Act.
The Council organized more negotiations with legal experts and academics by being a revision for revision.
On Saturday, the Chairman of the Council of V. Balakista Reddy met with legal teachers, including the CMR University Dean Tr Subramanya, Bangaru Laxmi Jasti of Mahindra University. Earlier consultations concerned GB Reddy and Vijaya Laxmi of the Ministry of Law, Osmania University and former Dean, ICFAI Law School, AVN Rao.
The decision to revise the curriculum is also a wider BCI mandate according to the rules of legal education of 2008 (Annex II), which requires regular updates of the curriculum to reflect current problems and challenges. The integration of these entities, albeit marginally growing overall credits, is academically justified and in accordance with global proven procedures in legal education, the Council explained.
According to Mr. Balakist Reddy: “Legal education must respond to the complexity of the modern world. Proposed improvements to the curriculum are not only early – they are necessary to prepare a generation of legal experts who can effectively operate in national and international legal arenas.”
