The Telangana government is committed to building a vibrant and industrial ecosystem not only in Hyderabad but across the state, Industries and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu said here on Tuesday.

Speaking at the FTCCI Excellence Awards 2026, the minister said this and emphasized that Telangana intends to be at the forefront of India’s next phase of growth. Emphasis will be placed on the growth of information technology, life sciences, manufacturing and deep technology sectors, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises.

Noting that the government wants to be more of a partner for every entrepreneur and not just a regulator, Mr. Sridhar Babu said that Hyderabad has already emerged as a prime destination for investors due to its vibrant industrial ecosystem.

“India-focused investors are increasingly looking at Hyderabad,” he said, adding that the state government led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is optimistic, forward-looking and positive in its approach. Referring to the measures initiated by the government, including the first MSME policy, the minister said that the government has released some of the pending subsidies despite the ongoing financial restructuring.

On concerns related to the minimum wage, he said the government has taken a balanced approach and developed guidelines that seek to protect both the interests of industry and the welfare of workers.

In a release, the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) said the Excellence Awards 2026 were given to organizations and individuals who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in their respective fields.

FTCCI President Ravi Kumar said that for nearly five decades, the Excellence Awards have celebrated outstanding achievements in industry, innovation, quality, sustainability and leadership. He appreciated Telangana government’s progressive policies, including TG-iPASS, MSME Policy and Green Energy Policy, which boosted investor confidence and accelerated industrial growth, and emphasized the need for continuous focus on ease, cost and speed of doing business, timely release of incentives for MSMEs and strengthening of skill development initiatives.
