
Provision of advanced infrastructure to promote energy requirements, data city establishment and focus on renewable energy use are measures that the TELANGANY government has decided to focus on Hyderabad as a preferred goal for the establishment of data centers.
The proposed data city will be set up near Hyderabad to facilitate first -class infrastructure AS regarding the future data centers, highly located resources said.
Main Minister A. Revanth Reddy is at the head of the state to attract more investment in data centers, especially data centers prepared for AM. The government was actively involved in dialogue with the main global corporations in finding investment opportunities. Since January 2024, Telangana has attracted data centers projects that cause more than 1.42 GBP Lakh Crore investment with an overall adding capacity of 5 189 MW.
The list does not include projects whose investments still have to be published, sources said.
The announced projects include high -performance computing devices AI with a cumulative capacity of 20 petaprates or more, the CDAC Center (CDAC) announced at the Global Summit AI Summit 2024.
At the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2024 in Davos, Iron Mountain (formerly Web Werks) announced an investment of 5 200 Crore on 10 MW network data centers in Hyderabad. The device will soon start operation. Upon commissioning, 10 MW plans to build a 100 MW data center in the southwestern part of the city, the sources said.
The American Tech Major Amazon Web Services (AWS) invests in the expansion of data centers in Hyderabad and undertakes an investment up to 60,000 GBP to add a capacity of 1,200 MW in the next few years. Yotta Technologies is expected to set up a 50 MW AI-GPU cloud center with a total of 25,000 GPUs in Bharat Future City.
During the WEF 2025, the Blackstone and Ctrls data centers were among companies that signed agreements with the state government on setting up data centers. Similarly, investment proposals for other companies, including ST telemedia, Tillman Global Holdings, Aurum Equity Partners, Sifify Technologies and NTT Data, make constant progress, sources said.
