The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council—Texprocil—has submitted a statement to the United States Trade Representative (USTR) rejecting allegations of overcapacity and forced labor in India’s cotton textile industry.
In response to the ongoing Section 301 investigations, Texprocil filed a submission on April 15 denying the inclusion of the Indian cotton textile sector in both these investigations.
