
Fans questioned the Cryt control advice in India (BCCI) about their decision to plan a test match in Delhi during November, just a few weeks after Diwali. Criticism broke out after BCCI announced its home schedule by 2024-2025 on Wednesday 2 April and shortly after the festival, the Delhi test against South Africa.
National capital is known for its dangerous air quality around Diwali, impaired flip flops, burning crops and weather conditions. Last time Delhi hosted a test match near Diwali in 2017, when Sri Lanka faced India. During this game, Sri wore Anti-Corporation and protested against the referees and urged to stop because of unplayable conditions.
Captain Dinesh Chandimal was seen in animated discussions with officials and demanded that the match be stopped. The controversy led to Delhi was excluded from hosting test matches for five years. He returned to the test calendar only in February 2023, during the Border -Gavascar trophy against Australia – the Moon with much better air quality.
In 2025, Diwali falls 21st October, just three weeks before the planned test. Fans say BCCI ignores past lessons, risk the health of players and the integrity of the match for overloading accessories.
Fans call BCCi
On Wednesday, the fans raised the BCCI decision to allocate the test match and correctly pointed to the air quality index and the last history of the match at the venue.
Meanwhile, India’s home season will start only in October Play five tests in England from June 20 until August 5, after which they will present in Asia Cup that will take place in T20 format.
The home season will see the Guwahati stadium Barsapa stadium for the first time in Indian history, which for the first time organizes a test match. The cult place in Assam will host the second of the series of two tests against South Africa from 22 November 2025.
