A terrorist was killed in an ongoing anti-terror operation in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal, the army said on Wednesday (April 1, 2026).
“During the night of March 31, the cordon was tactically reorganized amid ongoing intermittent fire. The troops effectively retaliated with a calibrated response that resulted in the elimination of one terrorist,” the military said.
The operation is ongoing, the military added.
The Army said on Tuesday (March 31) that a joint search operation was launched in the Ganderbal jungle area after receiving specific intelligence.
Security forces suspected the presence of two terrorists at the scene of the clash. Meanwhile, the slain terrorist could not be immediately identified.
