Terror accused dies of illness in Bengaluru Central Jail

February 8, 2026

A terror accused in the Parappana Agrahara Central Jail died of illness while undergoing treatment on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Sadiq Pasha (47), an accused in the Suddaguntepalya explosives seizure case. He was in judicial custody at the Central Jail.

According to officials, Sadiq Pasha had been suffering from multiple health problems for the past few months, including low blood pressure and high sugar. As his condition worsened, prison authorities took him to Victoria Hospital for treatment. However, despite medical intervention, he died late on Friday evening as the treatment did not yield results.

The Suddaguntepalya police registered a case of seizure of explosives in 2020, after which the National Investigation Agency (NIA) took over the investigation. Sadiq Pasha was among the six accused arrested in the case. Since his arrest, he has remained in custody at Parappana Agrahara Jail for almost six years.
