Political heat is palpable in a larger Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC), because the Council is ready to discuss 19 April, which moved against the mayor of G. Hari Venki Kumari of Ysr Congress Congress Party (YSRCP).
Given that the civic body turns the nerve center of political machinations, the tension between corporators runs high, much maintaining silence on the next turn.
Although political drama is growing increasingly uncertain, intensive negotiations with the leaders of various parties are planning their strategies for decisive meetings.
YSRCP, led by its district President Gudivada AmarNath, has already decided to make a decisive step by deciding to boycott the session. The party issued whip corporators not to participate in the meeting, and also warned against disciplinary proceedings against those who violate the order.
NDA, including Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Jan Sena Party (JSP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), are optimistic about the victory in the tensile without confidence. Its corporate claims that they have already secured the magic figure-74, which is necessary to gain a proposal for trust.
In GVMC there are 97 corporators at 98 departments and 14 members Exficio.
Only a few days ago, NDA reportedly supported 72 corporators – 48 TDP, 11 JSP, two BJPs, except 11 EX Members. YSRCP claimed that it has 34 corporators and three EXFICIO members. Two CPI and CPI (M) corporations have already announced their decision to boycott the meeting.
When the three YSRCP corporators have recently joined the JSP as a member of the former Officio Behara Baskar Rao, they were throwing their weight behind the alliance, the NDA force reportedly reached 76.
In addition, YSRCP Corporator (Ward 6) Muttamsetti Priyanka submitted a resignation to the President of the party Yagan Mohan Reddy. It is uncertain whether they will participate in movement without trust or not. Her father and former Minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao left the party a few months ago.
Meanwhile, most corporators who were sent abroad their party returned to the city, while several of them arrive tonight. While YSRCP sent its corporates to Sri Lanka, TDP moved its corporators to Malaysia.
District collector and authorized Commissioner GVMC Mn Harendhira Prasad reviewed an appointment for a meeting scheduled for 11:00
