Social activist Nikhil Dey appreciated several welfare measures being implemented by the Telangana government.
During a meeting with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in the Legislative Council on Thursday, the team led by Mr. Dey was informed about the expansion of the ongoing Praja Vani (Voice of the People) program from the state level to the revenue division level.
The CM directed the officials to take appropriate action in this regard.
It was also discussed that Telangana should set up a public information portal, similar to the one run by the Rajasthan government, which would provide details of all the schemes implemented in the state. The IT department was asked to create this portal.
Mr. Dey also lauded the Telangana Gig Workers’ Bill and expressed his belief that it will stand as a historic decision if implemented.
The meeting was attended by Planning Board Vice-Chairman G. Chinna Reddy, Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao and senior officials Dana Kishore, V. Sheshadri, B. Ajit Reddy, Manik Raj, Divya Devarajan and Vemula Srinivasulu.
