The budget of Telangana 2025-26, presented by the Government of Congress, revealed its continuing neglect of key sectors with insufficient allocation, education, agriculture and rural development, which on Friday accused state presidents of BJP and coal minister for coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy.
Despite several reports that reveal the “alarming” condition of educational infrastructure, the government has not taken corrective measures. Thousands of schools continue to operate without sufficient facilities, including the right buildings, toilets and sufficient teachers, claimed in a number of “X” contributions.
“Instead of addressing these urgent questions, the government introduced a budget for education, which remains significantly lower than the national average of 15%. Similarly, the health sector has not been preferred, as evidenced by the modest budgets of 4.8%,” he said.
This insufficient financing of medical services only increases the current challenges and relieves people by the necessary medical facilities and care, says Mr. Reddy. The allocation of rural development was only 4.1%, which clearly indicates the lack of a government commitment to strengthen rural infrastructure, he said.
The Congress Government also reduced the budget for agriculture by 48% compared to last year, suggesting that the support of farmers is mere lips. The government’s inability is evident as budget estimates 2023-24, which amounted to 2,39,455 Crore, but the actual income was 1.69 329 Crore, a lack of 29%, with 84%of the income balance. The forecasts of inflated income and insufficiently used sectoral funds also revealed poor fiscal planning of congress, he said.
The BJP leader said that the government seemed to follow the path of the previous government and should re -evaluate its priorities and allocate sufficient sources by key sectors such as education, health care, rural development and agriculture.
A balanced and well -planned budget is essential for increasing inclusive growth and ensuring long -term prosperity for people from Telangana, he added.
