Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Severage Board has filed criminal cases against 49 people for installing illegal connections from the city water system.
Personal officers discovered an unauthorized 20 mm connection in Mairaj and Iram Fortune Apartments, Bazaar Ghat. The building is registered on behalf of Akhil and 47 other inhabitants. After the inspections, the owners filed a complaint against 48 people at the NamPally police station.
In a separate case, two illegal 20 mm water connection within the O&M Division-4, Hindi Nagar Section was detected in Aghapura. Officers Vigilance registered the case against the owner of the Salahuddin building at the Habibnagar police station.
The Water Board officials warned that criminal lawsuits would be taken against anyone who found that it was installing an illegal water connection or using home connections for commercial purposes. Citizens can report these cases to the team for the waterworks or call 99899 98100.
