According to the latest data published by the National Center for Vector Diseases (NCVBDCs), the General Directorate of the Health Services, the Ministry of Health and Family Care, Telangana reported more than 4,000 cases of dengue dengue, according to the latest data issued by the National Vector Control Center (NCVBDC).
The updated data recorded on the NCVBDC website by August 2025 shows that the state has recorded a total of 4,296 dengue cases this year without the death. The previous update, which covered the data by March, placed the sum on 267 cases.
Spike coincides with the ongoing monsoon, usually from June to September, a period when a disease transmitted by vector and water, such as dengue, malaria, chikungunya, typhoid, hepatitis, leptospirosis and respiratory infections, Mosquito breeding in stagnant water and water and water.
This update at the national level comes in the middle of the silence of the Teulangan Health Department this year, because it has not yet published any official data about dengue or related diseases.
For comparison, TELANGANA recorded 4,648 cases of dengue in the same period last year (until August 21, 2024), with the annual sum later increased to 10,077, the previous year, 2023, recorded 8,016 cases.
Cases Chikungunya also showed an ascending trend. According to NCVBDC data, Telangana recorded 252 confirmed cases of Chikungunya from 7 176 samples tested by August this year.
