The Telangana Police Women Safety Wing will launch a men’s campaign titled ‘Stand with Her – Men Stand for Women’ on March 7 to encourage men to take more responsibility in preventing violence against women and challenging everyday behaviors that contribute to an unsafe environment.
The initiative seeks to frame violence against women as a continuum, where seemingly everyday acts of disrespect such as staring, sexist jokes, stalking, online harassment and groping contribute to a culture that can escalate into more serious crimes, including domestic abuse and sexual assault.
