The Telangana government is planning a series of reforms aimed at boosting medical tourism and improving access to healthcare, including better international connectivity to Hyderabad and faster immigration procedures for patients coming for treatment, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said on Thursday.
After inaugurating the 25th branch of Medicover Hospitals at Kokapet here, he said that Telangana attracts 8-10 million patients from various states for medical treatment every year, while around 2 million patients from foreign countries also visit the state for treatment.
