As part of the Firefighting Service Week 2025, the TELANGANA fire department, reaction to disasters, emergency and civil defense of the extensive public awareness exhibition on the HMDA land next to Prasads IMAX.
The event was inaugurated with a special secretary of the TELANGANA RAVI GUPTA government, which also described the assembly of vehicles for fire and emergency reaction.
The exhibition will remain open to the public until the evening of 20 April. Its aim is to educate citizens about the safety of fire and readiness for disasters through live demonstrations and interactive displays, said Y. Nagi Reddy, CEO of fire services, telangana.
“This initiative encourages the public to visit the stalls and first insight into operations to prevent and save fire,” he said.
The display is organized in four main categories: protective equipment, fire combat equipment, rescue tools and rescue equipment. There are a number of protective equipment available for public viewing, including chemical suits, respiratory apparatuses, glasses, helmets, gloves, SDRF suits and autumn harnesses.
“Meanwhile, in the Flood Rescue section is a fraudulent scanners based on sonar, drainage and floating pumps, inflatable ships, life buoys and life jackets necessary during monsoon emergencies and urban floods,” he said.
Throughout the day visitors watched live demonstrations and interact with firefighters and gained insight into how every piece of equipment works in the real world scenarios. The atmosphere remained concentrated, but engaging, while the staff explained the practices and security tips to families, students and passers -by.
“This year’s fire service is more than a monument. It serves as a challenge for community action to understand the importance of fire safety and resistance to disaster. With open stalls until Sunday evening, residents are encouraged to visit and participate in the awareness initiative,” DG said.
