Telangana will host a techno-cultural festival aimed at building deeper cultural, social and developmental ties between the state and the North Eastern region. Titled ‘Telangana-North East Connect’, the event will be held in two phases in Hyderabad later this month and is expected to bring together hundreds of artists, experts, officials and cultural ambassadors from eight northeastern states.
The first phase will take place from November 20 to 22 at the Hitex exhibition center. The inauguration ceremony, scheduled for November 20, is expected to be attended by the Governor of Telangana, Chief Minister, Governors of Tripura and other northeastern states. The three-day program will offer cultural showcases. Stalls will also be set up with handmade products created by women’s self-help groups from the North East.
The second phase will be held at Raj Bhavan from November 25 to 27. Panel discussions focusing on the healthcare sector will be held on November 26, followed by a closing ceremony on November 27. Around 500 invitees and officials will attend the Raj Bhavan programmes, which will also include visits to leading hospitals, Genome Valley and T-Hub.
