
Telangana Medical Council (TGMC) suspended five doctors after they found out that it was guilty of professional misconduct and ethical violations according to the Indian Medical Council (professional behavior, etiquette and ethics), 2002 and the 1968 Telangan doctor registration.
Disciplinary measures include suspension of registration for the period from six months to one year.
The named Council is Dr. A. Chaitanya Reddy, Medical Director of Oxycare Hospital, ECIL, suspended for six months for sponsoring and connections with unskilled practices for a quack event in Bonggir.
Dr. M. Goutham Reddy, Medical Director of Omni Hospital, Kothapet, was suspended for six months for sponsorship of the same event.
Dr. KV MALLIKARJUNA RAO, Medical Director of Hospital Eva, Vanasthalipuram, suspended for six months for similar misconduct.
Dr. Kannaiah Thallapally of Livyoung Clinic, Jubilee Hills, was suspended for one year to distort as a qualified cosmetologist and hair transplant surgeon without recognized data.
Dr. K. Uma Maleshwar of Padmavathi Neuro and Multi-specialty Hospital, Sangareddy, was suspended for six months to display unrecognized qualifications unapproved by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
The TGMC ordered all five doctors to give up their registration certificates within 10 days, warning that this would not be permanently removed by their names from the medical register. She also recommended that the health authorities review or cancel the registration of the participating hospitals and cite the risks for public health.
