Fire drills in hospitals and schools, large-scale public demonstrations in crowded spaces, a nationwide run to encourage participation and targeted inspections of high-risk buildings will form the backbone of Fire Service Week 2026 in Telangana. The week-long campaign, which will run from April 14 to 20, will combine commemorations with practical training and public awareness as authorities try to translate fire safety awareness into everyday practice.
The theme – Safe School, Safe Hospital and Fire Aware Society – Together for Fire Prevention – marks a shift from reactive firefighting to proactive risk reduction in vulnerable spaces where emergencies can quickly turn into disasters.
