Telangana IAS Transfers in October 2026 | The government replaced 12 officers and ordered key administrative changes

In a major administrative reshuffle, the Telangana government has ordered transfers and postings of 12 IAS officers along with several Full Additional Charge (FAC) arrangements.

Jayesh Ranjan given charge of forest department

Jayesh Ranjan, Special Principal Secretary to Government, Metropolitan Area and Urban Development (HMDA Limits), has been transferred and posted as Special Principal Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forests, Science and Technology. He was also given the FAC of CEO of EPTRI, relieving Shailaja Ramaiyer of the responsibility.

Vikas Raj, Special Principal Secretary, Department of Transport, Roads and Buildings, has been transferred as Special Principal Secretary, Ministry of Power, replacing Navin Mittal.

Navin Mittal has been appointed as Special Chief Secretary of Panchayat Raj and Department of Rural Development, Rural Supply and Sanitation and Rural Administration in place of M. Dana Kishore.

Shailaja Ramaiyer has been appointed Principal Secretary, Revenue (Subsidy) Department.

A. Vani Prasad, Special Chief Secretary, Youth Development, Tourism and Culture Department, has been given FAC to the posts of Special Chief Secretary, Sports Department and Director, Heritage Telangana, relieving Jayesh Ranjan of these duties.

Rahul Bojja, Principal Secretary, Department of Revenue (Disaster Management), has been given the FAC of Principal Secretary, Tribal Welfare Department, relieving Sabyasachi Ghosh. He will continue to hold the FAC of the Principal Secretary of the Backward Classes Welfare Department.

Ilambarithi K. has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Transport, Roads and Works in place of Vikas Raj. He was also conferred the FAC of Transport Commissioner and will continue to hold the FAC of Secretary of Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries.

Sarfaraz Ahmad, Metropolitan Commissioner, Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has been conferred FAC of Secretary Metropolitan Area and Urban Development Department (HMDA limits). He will also serve as the Special Officer of Greater Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Malkajgiri Municipal Corporations, replacing Jayesh Ranjan.

Shruti Ojha has been appointed as Special Secretary, Department of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare.

MD Musharraf Ali Faruqui, Chairman and Managing Director, Telangana Rythu Power Distribution Company Limited, has been transferred as Director, Health and Family. He was also awarded the FAC of Director, Institute of Health and Family Welfare, replacing S. Sangeetha Satyanarayan. Faruqui will continue to hold the FAC of Chairman and Managing Director of Telangana Rythu Power Distribution Company Limited.

S. Sangeetha Satyanarayana has been appointed Director of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare in place of Shruti Ojha.

Jitesh V. Patil, chairman and managing director of TGSPDCL, was given the FAC of vice-chairman and managing director of TGREDCO, relieving Faruqui of the responsibility.

Dana Kishore reappointed

Special Chief Secretary M. Dana Kishore, who retires at the end of the month, has been reappointed. He belongs to the IAS batch of 1996. The terms of his reappointment will be announced later.
