Telangana Heat Wave | CM urges people to take adequate precautions

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has asked people to remain alert and take necessary precautions in view of the severe heatwave warning issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
In view of the forecast of intense heat in northern Telangana region, the Chief Minister directed the officials concerned to take all measures to ensure availability of adequate ORS packets, drinking water supply and uninterrupted power supply to the residents. The health department has been directed to give priority treatment to heatstroke patients and admit them to hospitals. Local authorities have been instructed to set up centers for free drinking water supply in urban areas.
The chief minister asked people to stay out of their homes and avoid traveling during the afternoon. He directed Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao to constantly monitor the situation and issue necessary instructions to the District Collectors to ensure the safety of the people.
