Justice NV Shravan Kumar of the Telangana High Court on Friday refused to interfere with the state government’s decision to suspend the license of food businesses Pulla Reddy Sweets, Sanathnagar branch.
The authorized representative of the trade, Raghava Reddy, filed a plea against the decision of the Khairatabad Area Food Safety Officer to suspend the license of FSSAI and pointed out some food safety lapses during the inspection.
On the instructions of the HC, the authorities re-inspected the premises. They informed the bench that some deficiencies persist and some violations have been addressed. Based on the re-examination report, the judge refused to lift the license suspension order and adjourned the matter to November 18.
