Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Institutions (TGSWREIS), on Saturday, published a cautious warning to the reports of fraudulent practices to ensure admission to Gurukuls.
Reportedly mediators and agents collected money from unsuspecting parents with a promise of guaranteed acceptance, he said.
It was said that “it was found that some individuals used invented heads of letters bearing the names and logos of elected public representatives, including MLA and MPs to convince their parents of their legitimacy.”
The company said all applications are processed digitally, students selected through a joint input test and published an annual list of merits and brands on the official website.
In cases where selected students do not connect at a specified time, the resulting free seats are filled with the next candidates according to the List of Merit. However, there is no deviation from the process and the seats in the Gurukuls are not for sale, she said.
