
Telangana Drugs Control Administration (DCA) has issued a public warning that urged people to stop using syrup codrif, SR-13 dose, after reports on the deaths of children in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan reportedly associated with drug consumption.
According to DCA, the dose was produced by Sresan Pharma, SunguuvarChathiram, Kancheepuram district, Tamil Nadu, allegedly falsified by diethylene glycol (Deg), toxic substance. Affected date of dose production from May 2025 and expiration date April 2027.
The administration asked people to immediately interrupt the use of the syrup if they have it and report it to the nearest drug control Office. Citizens can also contact Telangana DCA via the free number 1800-599-6969, which are available from 10:30 to 17:00 on all working days.
Telangana officials coordinate with their counterparts in Tamil Nadu to monitor the distribution of contaminated benefits in the state. All drug inspectors and helpers were ordered to highlight retailers, wholesalers and hospitals to freeze any dose supplies if they were found in circulation.
