In a renewed effort to break the long-standing deadlock over Legislative Council nominations, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla at the Lok Bhavan on Sunday (April 19, 2026) and urged for speedy approval of the pending nominations under the Governor’s quota.
The names of prof. M. Kodandaram and Mohammad Azharuddin, which was earlier approved by the state government, remain in talks with the Lok Bhavan from the last governor, Jishnu Dev Varma, who is now transferred to Maharashtra.
