Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy proposed to hold a follow-up meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Hyderabad every year in July.
One year is a very long time to watch in the modern business cycle and make investment decisions. The WEF should organize another follow-up forum every year either in July or August in Hyderabad. “I request that you join me in realizing that we bring the July WEF Forum to Hyderabad,” he said.
The Prime Minister’s proposal received unanimous support from the world’s leading businessmen and policy makers during the ‘Join The Rise’ event held in Davos. He explained to the audience that the recent Telangana Rising Global Summit was very successful and attracted investments worth more than ₹5.75 crore. Buoyed by the massive success of the event, Telangana decided to talk to the WEF about hosting a follow-up forum in Hyderabad.
The event presented the growth framework and vision for 2047 and launched the Telangana AI Innovation Hub (TAIH) and the Telangana Next-Gen Life Sciences Policy 2026-2030. Game changing projects of Telangana like roads, Hyderabad Metro Rail extension, rejuvenation of rivers, lakes and water bodies were explained to the participants. The Telangana Rising delegation’s presentation also included plans for new economic zones, construction of a new city and a new manufacturing zone that will become an alternative option to China +1.
The Chief Minister informed the audience that Hyderabad, which was a global hub for Global Capability Centers (GCC), was being developed as the first city in India to be operational 24 hours a day – focusing on the night economy on both sides of the Musi River. Film star Chiranjeevi, who attended, stood as a special attraction at the event.
