The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested two more people in connection with the international rocket for trading in human authorities that operated under the guise of legitimate donation and transplantation of authorities at the Hyderabad Private Hospital. The arrest brings the total number of accused persons held in this case 19.
One of the accused, identified as Pamulapati Pavan Kumar alias Leon, a resident of Tadepalligud in Andhra Pradesh, was taken from LB Nagar. The second, Pradeep Kumar Gupta aka Pradeep Agarwal, a Gurogram resident, was arrested from Chandigarh.
According to CID officials, Pavan Kumar is the main accused of trading trading, who together with Dr. Rajashekar and Dr. Avinash arranged donors and recipes for kidney transplant surgery in hospitals by Alakananda, Jananani and Arnuna. Pavan Kumar founded a network of brokers across the states – in Tamil Nadu, a scout for poor and vulnerable kidney donors and in Bengalur, Karnataka and Haryana to find a rich recipient.
For each illegal surgery, it was reportedly charged between £ 15 as a commission and used the proceeds to buy luxury cars and allow its trips to invest money in Casino in Sri Lanka.
On the other hand, Pradeep Gupta played a key role in obtaining patients who were willing to pay large amounts for illegal kidney transplantation. He facilitated transplantation of at least 10 patients from Delhi, Gujarat and Maharashtra. For each transplant he gained 10 lakh, which helped coordinate and acted as a mediator between recipients and Kumar.
Initially, the case came to light after the complaint of a representative of the district medical and medical officer (DMHO) of the Rangareddy district regarding the inconsistencies in Alakanand Multi-Consault Hospital. It was registered at the Saroornagar police station in the relevant parts of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhit and the transplantation of the 1994 human authorities and tissues, before being transferred to CID for further investigation in April. Another investigation is underway.
