The TELANGANY Government has changed the educational qualification needed for pharmacists in the Ayush department. The changes issued through the government order (GO) by Minister of Health Christina Z. Chongth 28th, March 28, come in response to the recommendations of the Ministry and the Telengana public service. The amendment is updated by Indian Medicine Medicine and Homeopathy Subordinate service Special Rules 1994, governing the qualifications of pharmacists.
The new criteria require applicants to hold any of the following titles: D. Pharmacy, B. Pharmacy or Pharm D. In addition, all pharmacists must be registered in the Telangana Pharmacy Council. Previously, qualification requirements included a diploma course in Ayurveda, Unani or Homeopathy offered by the Ayush department. However, these qualifications will be gradually discarded as soon as the ministry introduces its own diploma program in the relevant disciplines, the order said.
Furthermore, according to the revised rules, individuals appointed pharmacists must undergo a six -month certificate at a six -month certification course (Ayurveda/Unani/Homeopathy) via direct recruitment. This training will include both theoretical and practical components, which include the preparation of medicine under the supervision of the government pharmacy. Candidates must pass a maximum of three attempts per year.
