The Thelangany government strongly opposed the Center to ask Andra Pradesh to submit a detailed report on the Polavaram-Banakacacherla Link Project proposed to the latter, even though it violates the provisions of the AP reorganization Act and the GODAVARI (GWDT) Act.
In a letter addressed by Minister Jala Shakti (Mojs) CR packed on 13 June, the Minister of Walling and Citizens N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the turn of the center would adversely affect the rights on the TELANGANA coast in the basin because AP planned to divert 200 TMC Photos of water.
In response to a letter addressed to Mr. Patil and Minister of Finance Nirmal Sitharam 22. In accordance with this, a meeting here was convened here 12. June on the project and later postponed it to discuss it as part of the connection of the Rivers project in Nový Delhí.
CWC recently said she had received a preliminary feasibility report, Untam Reddy said. The Minister told Hindu on Saturday that the meeting was held by Mojs 2. June and was attended by officials AP. When CWC officials asked TELAngany officials, CWC officials reported that the preliminary feasibility report (PFR) AP was based on active consideration. At the same meeting, an official of the Ministry of Finance asked officials AP to submit DPR by the end of June.
“Usually, the DPR of any project/scheme of any state could only be presented by CWC when the basic PFR is originally approved by the Agency (CWC). The center asks AP to submit DPR that the PFR is considered to be CWC approved?
He made it clear that the proposed project did not have GWDT secured water. “It is a matter of serious concern for Telangan, because Mojs asked AP. To submit the DPR Banakacherla project by the end of June, and this technically means that the PFR project is considered to be approved,” the Minister of irrigation said.
Mr. Uttam Reddy asked Mr. Patil to order the CWC to refuse the Banakacherla project, the currently reviewed CWC, and also prevent AP from entering further steps, including calling and granting bids.
