Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday (Nov 07, 2025) launched a no-holds-barred attack on RJD leader Lalu Prasad’s family, alleging that his son Tejashwi Yadav’s CM “favourite” is MK Stalin, whose DMK party “insults Biharis by comparing them to beedis”.
He also accused Congress President Sonia Gandhi and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of remaining silent on repeated attacks by Pakistani terrorists during the UPA regime, claiming they “did not have the guts to retaliate or even issue a statement against terrorism”.

“Someone asked Lalu’s son who is his favorite CM. He said DMK (MK) Stalin, who is the CM of Tamil Nadu. Do you know who he is? I will give his (Stalin’s) introduction… his party compares Biharis with ‘beedis’. His party insults Biharis and vilifies them. Tejashwi’s favorite with Shashgalha is this.
The BJP leader also alleged that Stalin’s party was “insulting Sanatan Dharma and opposing the establishment of a Ram temple”.
The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister last week condemned Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his alleged remarks that “DMK men harassed workers from Bihar in Tamil Nadu”.
CM Stalin asked him to stop doing “cheap politics” by targeting Tamils and showing malice against them in poll-bound states.
Asserting that the opposition leaders had “no development” agenda for Bihar, Mr Shah alleged that the RJD-Congress combine had “done nothing for the poor” during its rule in the state, apart from “patronizing infiltrators”.
Addressing a rally in Jamui earlier in the day, he launched a blistering attack on Lalu Prasad and Sonia Gandhi, claiming that “those who care only for the welfare of their sons and daughters cannot develop Bihar”.
“Give us a mandate for another five years and Bihar will be counted among the developed states. It will be flood free. Lalu-Rabri-Rahul have no development agenda,” Mr Shah said.
He also asserted, “They have done nothing for the poor, except as haughty infiltrators who usurp poor people’s labour, grain and resources. Do you think those who care only for the welfare of their sons and daughters can make Bihar a developed state? They cannot.”
He added, “Lalu Prasad et al, Rahul et al cannot give employment to the youth, they can only provide ‘jungle raj’.”
In Bhagalpur, the Union Minister termed the opposition bloc “Mahagathbandhan” as “thagbandhan” and claimed that they “have no politics and no unity among themselves”.
“Nobody can prevent riots in Bhagalpur if RJD wins Bihar polls… You have to decide whether you want kidnapping industry in Diara or tourism development,” Mr Shah told the rally.
Earlier in the day, he claimed that Maoists “ruled in Gayaji, Aurangabad, Jamui and several other regions during Lalu’s regime” and it was “Modi who removed Naxalism from Bihar”.
“If you want to prevent ‘Jungle Raj’, vote NDA,” Mr Shah told the rally.
Addressing another Bihpur rally in Bhagalpur, he claimed, “Lalu-Rahul cannot provide employment to the youth and can only bring ‘Jungle Raj’ in Bihar. He promised to change the face of Bihar if the NDA retains power in the state.”
The former BJP president announced a slew of projects, including an electric vehicle manufacturing cluster, an ordinance factory, a defense corridor, a network of world-class expressways, highways, medical colleges and engineering institutions.
Explosives made in the proposed Bihar Defense Corridor will be used against these terrorists, he said.

He said unlike the previous Congress regime, the Prime Minister Modi-led government was committed to the safety and security of the nation.
Mr Shah also attacked Tejashwi Yadav for “raising slogans in praise of late Mohammad Shahabuddin”, who was accused of unleashing terror in Siwan during the 15-year RJD rule in Bihar.
He said his father, Lalu Prasad, had given the ticket to Shahabuddin’s son Osama, but the people of Bihar would not allow the ‘Jungle Raj’ to return.
He said as many as 3.60 lakh people have been covered under the free health insurance scheme up to ₹5 crore and condemned the RJD for its complaint to the Election Commission seeking suspension of the ₹10,000 benefit for ‘Jeevika Didis’, claiming that “three generations of Lalunatch will be able to get funds”.
“The time has come for Bihar to be among the top five states in fish farming and the Prime Minister has invested ₹20,000 crore in the sector,” he said.
He said the eastern state tops the country in ethanol production from maize, while a mega food processing unit is coming up for Zardala mangoes, tomatoes, onions and potatoes.
“No one can stop the construction of a big temple of Goddess Sita in Bihar,” Mr. Shah told a rally in Bihpur.
“Can Lalu-Rahul build Sita temple? They sent Lal Krishna Advani behind bars during Ram Rath Yatra but I dare them to do anything to stop Sita temple… nobody can stop Sita temple,” he said.
