Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and former Deputy Chief Minister Bihar Tejashwi Yadav on Saturday (April 5, 2025) promised to vote to power, his party would not carry out a draft WAQF (amendment) approved by parliament and the law will be “worthy of the ash”.
Yadav, accompanied by a member of RJD Rajya Sabha Manoj Jha at the Patna’s party office, stated that Jadata gave (United) and Bharatiya Janata, who “pretended to be well pleasant Muslims” was exposed to legislation. He added that it was unfortunate that Minister Bihar Nitish Kumar did not say the word about the bill when the whole country spoke about it. “The bill is unconstitutional and violates Article 26 of the Constitution,” added Mr. Yadav.

The RJD leader, who disintegrated into the government of the National Democratic Alliance in the State, claimed that BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh were constantly involved in unconstitutional work and want to divide people of the country.
“They do it in favor of their industrial friends. RJD went to the Supreme Court against the bill today and our fight will continue from the house on the road and court.
Mr. Yadav said at Mr. Kumar’s stand: “When such an important problem is concerned, the main minister did not say a single word and maintained silence. It shows how the government leads in Bihar.”
Mr. Yadav, who intervened at BJP and JD (U), said that the Saffron Party “stopped 65% of the reservation that was given in retrospect, extremely back, Dalit and the tribal population in Bihar”.
“BJP is doing policy against backward, extremely backwards, Dalits and tribal people. They want to end rights and privileges due to the exploited and deprived classes focusing on Muslims, while JD (U) works as an anti -terrorism cell of BJP,” said Mr. Yadav.
He said BJP is a party that openly offended Muslims and called them mullahy in parliament, while the Prime Minister talked about the clothes that Muslims wear and “attempts to snipple Mangalsutra”.
Mr. Yadav also asked whether two representatives of the main ministers in Bihar fulfilled their duties.
“In the mungers, mutton and food were served through officers and what (circular officer) and BDO (block of development) did this in the presence of the representative of the main Minister Samrat Choudhary. It shows how the morale of officers is reduced.
He also claimed that Mr. Kumar’s photograph was replaced by Modi’s photo in Bihar Government. “BJP people keep Nitish until the elections, but what happens after the elections everyone knows,” said Mr. Yadav.
Meanwhile, former Minister of Trade Unions and BJP leader Syed Shahnawaz Hussain said he was receiving life threats to support WAQF account.
