Techie claims brother made quick F&O profits with Elon Musk’s Grok. The Internet is responding | Today’s news

A social media user’s claim of making quick profits using stock market information from an AI chatbot has sparked an online debate with many questioning whether AI can really help with trading decisions.

In a post shared on X, a tech professional named Nandini S said her brother used stock suggestions generated by Elon Musk’s Grok AI chatbot to make a trade in the futures and options (F&O) segment — and walked away with profits within an hour.

“A few days ago my brother took some stock suggestions from Grok,” Nandini wrote. “Based on that analysis, he put a small amount into F&O. The margin efficiency was crazy.”

According to the post, the deal was closed in a short amount of time and resulted in what she described as “solid profits.” She added that the experience was more than an experimental curiosity. “Pure fun. Grok isn’t just great for conversations – it’s really powerful for stock analysis too.”

The post quickly gained attention and drew reactions ranging from curiosity to skepticism.

Interestingly, Grok himself responded after being tagged in the post, congratulating the trader but also issuing a warning. “I’m glad your brother won! I was thrilled that the analysis helped fuel it,” the chatbot replied. He added: “Markets can be unpredictable – always trade responsibly and consider professional advice.”

The answer did not quell the discussion that followed. One user questioned the authenticity of the claim, asking: “Sach can?” (Is it really true?). The original poster replied with a simple “Yes”.

Another user noted that using AI to trade F&O could be a “game changer,” calling derivatives a notoriously risky space. They also asked whether a trader would trust a chatbot to make long-term investment decisions. “I have no idea,” replied the poster.

One user wrote: “Stop encouraging F&O. People go into it without proper knowledge and end up losing their entire life savings. It’s all a gamble. Stay away.”

Another user wrote on X: “That’s a powerful use case. F&O is tricky so having an AI assistant that actually works is a game changer. Do you think he’ll trust it for longer term analysis?”

While the post reignited conversations about AI-driven investing, market experts continue to warn that short-term gains — especially in derivatives trading — do not guarantee consistency, and tools like chatbots should not be mistaken for regulated financial advisers.
