On Sunday, the villagers of Reddypalli offered tear farewell to Daripalli Ramaiah, an ecologically veteran, kindly called “Vanajeevi Ramaiah”, who died on Saturday after a heart attack in Khammam.
Minister of Income Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Khammam Ramasaham Raghuram Reddy were among the scores of people and close to giving up their last respect for the deadly remains of the green Green Crusader at a funeral held in the village of ReddyPalli.
On the point of the funeral, the tree was planted as a sign of respect for the departed green warrior, the sources said.
The minister comforted the mourning Janamma, his wife Ramaiah and other members of the surviving family. Police Commissioner Khammam Sunil Dut, another collector Prinivas Reddy and officials of various government departments were present.
The Minister described the outgoing green crusader inspiring and said: “Vanajeevi Ramaiah, headed by his planting trees tirelessly overcame all chances and financial problems during his life. Padma Shri was honored in 2017 in 2017 was recognized by decades of reserved effort.
