The rescue team of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has once again proved its prowess on the international sporting field by winning the first prize in the underground mine rescue category at the International Mine Rescue Competitions (IMRC) held in Zambia recently.
SCCL Chairman and Managing Director Buddhaprakash Jyoti lauded the SCCL rescue team for its stellar performance at the international event.
He congratulated the team for displaying excellent skills and professionalism in competition with rescue teams from several countries around the world.
From India, teams from Coal India Limited, SCCL and other companies participated in the event, a press release said.
Notably, after nearly two decades, SCCL has once again delivered an exceptional performance at the international level and reaffirmed its capability and strength in mine rescue operations, the report added.
The rescue team of SCCL was trained under the guidance of General Manager (Rescue) Srinivas Reddy at Ramagundam Mines Rescue Station in Peddapalli district.
