Playoffs VCT EMEA 2. Phase 2 brought a lot of drama today when Team Liquid survived BBL esports in a series of nail pieces to book their place in the big final. The victory also had the main ripple throughout the region and confirmed the qualification of the HERETICS team for the Valorant Champions 2025 in Paris.
BBL entered this clash with confidence after removing heavy weight Fnatic and a team of heretics earlier in the holder. Their momentum was obvious from the start to the Ascent, their maps, where the half-time got 7-5 leadership. They briefly rushed forward 9-8, but they passed the trademark of the Liquid as they gathered to win five of the next six laps and close the opener of 13-10.
When choosing a liquid, sunset, the script overturned. BBL attacked the early lead before TL pinned the way back to the dispute, but the Turkish side supplied in the clutch and dug the key of the late rounds to equalize the 1-1 series. Here, Social created for ages the performance of a monster – promoted 36/15/1 KDA and a stunning 411 ACS, one of the most dominant individual map performances in the recent EMEA history.
This set the referee to do-or-die on Bind, where BBL confiscated early check. They led 7-5 in the half-time and pushed 11-8, and reached the touch distance from historical disturbance. But the liquid was not done yet. The Russian star NATS pulled Must-Win ESO to tie things to 12-12, a play that completely shifted the momentum of the series. On the horse sparks, Liquid took both overtime wheels to ensure a dramatic victory of 14-12 and victory of the 2-1 series.
For team heretics, the result was almost as sweet. With Liquid’s triumph, they officially locked the third EMEA qualifying point for Valorant Champions Paris and secured their journey, because last year’s runners against Edward’s games were not vain. Patitek Liquid – former Herica player himself played a key role in victory that maintained the hope of the champions of his old team alive.
Meanwhile, GiantX survived the Navi in the lower bracket in the further clearing of the three map, although this has developed very differently. Navi started strong, raced at 9-3 half-time Icebox lead before it was sealed 13-6, with Hiro (19/8/3) and Ruxic (20/10/4) led the charge. But GiantX refused to fold. When choosing at sunset, Ara exploded with 23/9/3 to power the dominant victory of 13-6.
This driving force was transferred to the judge to haven, where Giantx dismissed the Navi 13-4 to seal the series and progress. Navi, on the other hand, bowed from the season and did not achieve the qualifications of the champions.
Now all the eyes are moving to tomorrow’s final console-the best of the five clash between GiantX and BBL Esports. The bets could not have been higher: the winner not only secures the ticket to the big finals against the Liquid team, but also claims the final VCT EMEA slot in Champions Paris. For GiantX, this is a chance to return to the world scene after their 2023 Champs, while for BBL it is a shot from history with their first champion qualifications.
