The transport department has taken steps to integrate its functioning with the National Portal for Medally developed in the area of computer science, while driving licenses were issued from the Office for Road Transport in Khairtabad.
On Saturday, this service from Khairtabad started. From there will also be delivered to those who registered for the older CFST portal.
According to the Ministry of Transport officials, the next step of integration, including the renewal of the license, will be a change in residential address, publish duplicate documents, lives from 28 July. Delivery from these services to Sarathi will be carried out in other RTA offices on the same date.
“As the TELAngany government has previously decided, integration is done by a gradual way. It will be easier to use the major services of the transport department and reduce the number of times, how many times they will have to visit the RTA offices,” said the head of the transport department.
According to the portal from 1 July to 25 July, up to 10 applications for licenses in the central zone were received.
At the beginning of this year, the Theangana government announced its intentions to follow the action after several other countries decided to implement and integrate the services of the Transport Department with the portals of Sarathi and Vahan.
According to transport officials, this step would bring the ease of access to services throughout the country. It would also reduce the number of RTA offices.
Sarathi also allows the driver’s license holders to use devices provided by Digilocker. This platform brings in this case the storage and production of official documents. A burden that always carries printed copies to a person would significantly reduce. This step further ensures that digitally issued driving licenses are legally valid and easily accessible for verification.
